If you're a single parent returning to school, consider the following scholarship opportunities at colleges and universities in the United States:

States A-L | States M-Z
Arkansas:
Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund
  • The ASPSF funds multiple scholarship programs throughout Arkansas
  • Individual scholarships fund tuition and books, and may potentially also cover utility costs, car maintenance, and childcare
  • Candidates must be single parents living Arkansas

Florida:
George Snow Scholarship Fund
  • Applicants must be single parent residents of either Palm Beach County, or North Broward County, FL
  • Applications are available online
  • Applicants must demonstrate the need for financial support

Illinois:
College of DuPage Foundation Single Parent Scholarship
  • Applicants must be at least part-time students with a minimum grade point average of 2.0
  • Must reside in District 502
  • Must show financial need

Iowa
Kirkwood Community College
  • Kirkwood offers numerous scholarships to benefit single parents
  • Applicants can apply online

Kansas
The Single Parents With Children Scholarship
  • Open to single, divorced, and widowed students of Emporia State University
  • Applicants must be single custodial parents enrolled for at least 12 credit hours
  • Applications are available online
  • Applicants must be able to demonstrate financial need
